"What a Wonderful World" Songwriter George David Weiss Dies.

Manhattan's own George David Weiss passed away in his home of New Jersey at the age of 89.

The famous songwriter is credited for great songs such as "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "What A Wonderful World".  Weis has worked with the best in the business including Perry Como, Ella Fitzgerald and Sammy Davis Jr.


Weis was inducted into the songwriters hall of fame in 1984, he was the president of the Songwriters Guild of America from 1982 to 2000.
